Installation Instruction
Model: S-2500 / NT-1856
Micro-Processor Unit
For LPG Vehicles
(12V Battery)

Precaution Before Installation:

(1) Please read all of the instructions pertaining to your type of fuel system before installing your ELC Fuel      Saver. If you are not comfortable installing the ELC Fuel Saver yourself, please take it to a qualified auto repair center and have it installed there. In most cases it will be 1 hour labor at the prevailing local shop rate.
(2) IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTION : If you must raise the vehicle up off of the ground to install any wires under your vehicle MAKE SURE YOU SUPPORT THE RAISED VEHICLE WITH PROPER SAFETY JACK STANDS , never take chances. Failure to do so could result in serious injury or death!
(3) Please follow the installation steps and procedures (note that the red wire should be the last to connect)
(4) Turn off the engine before installation.
(5) Check and make sure the car battery is well connected and the voltage is at its standard level.
(6) ELC Fuel Saver may not have significant results on seriously worn engines, low quality lubricating, oil (viscosity is less than 13mm2 /s). In such cases, user should repair the engine or replace better quality lubricating oil before installing your ELC Fuel Saver.
(7) Please do not use unoriginal wires to connect the fuel saver. The use of unoriginal wires may affect the fuel saving function.
(8) The fuel saver and wires should not be placed too near high temperature areas (e.g. exhaust pipe). Proper insulation should be made to avoid overheated if necessary.
(9) After the installation, please turn on the engine and make sure all the red indicators are flashing. If the red indicator does not light up, there is grounding problem of the corresponding outlet. If the installation point is too dirty, please use detergent or abrasive paper to clear the spot, and then re-connect to the outlet. If it is due to the engine design, please connect the outlet to another installation point which is grounded.
(10) ELC Fuel Saver has been manufactured only after several years of research and development to give you the highest quality micro-processor product of it's kind on the market today, however you as the end user of this product assume all responsibility for its application on
your vehicle and regarding vehicle warranties or any leased vehicle. Please check your
vehicle warranty or lease company contract if you have any uncertainties in using this unit.

Choose a suitable place to attach your ELC Fuel Saver:
(1) Choose a suitable place in the car engine compartment to attach the fuel saver.
(2) The fuel saver should NOT be placed too close to hot areas above 212 degree Fahrenheit. (100 degree Celsius).
(3) If the vehicle has installed rectifier, turbo or other high frequency equipment, make sure that the fuel saver is placed at least 2 feet from these components so as to minimize the influence of high frequency to the fuel saver.

Attaching your ELC Fuel Saver:
(1) Use adhesive strips to stick the fuel saver on the suitable place.
(2) Fasten the fuel saver with plastic cords provided or use screws to fix the fuel saver in place if necessary.
(3) Make sure that the fuel saver is firmly fixed and would not be affected by vibration.

Operation Modes:

The red indicators show the operation modes of the fuel saver:

(1) All red indicator flash intermittently
Fuel saver I operating normally
(2) The red indicator is off or lights up permanently
Connection problem of the corresponding outlet
Solution: Re-connect the outlet wire and make sure that the power connection is proper.
(3) All red indicators are off or light up permanently
The fuel saver is self-locked*
Solution: Disconnect the red and black wires of your ELC Fuel Saver from the battery. Then contact the tips of the two wires of the ELC Fuel Saver for 10-15 seconds and reconnect them to the battery.
* Self-Lock Function:
In order to protect the micro-computer system, the fuel saver will self-lock under the following conditions:
(a) When the working voltage is beyond the protective voltage DC9.5V-18.3V, or
(b) When the working voltage is extremely unstable
Important Notes & Precautions:
(1) Change lubricating oil and filter (1,200 miles after installation):
Since your ELC Fuel Saver has a very strong cleansing effect to the engine inner walls, debris (such as carbon deposit, oil sludge, grease, ect.) will gradually detach and mix into the lubricating oil. Therefore, after a certain period of time (approx. 1,2000 miles after the installation, depending on the vehicle conditions), you should change the lubricating oil and filter. Then the engine can achieve maximum performance.

(2) Notes & Precautions For Diesel:
Diesel vehicles should change the diesel filter regularly. Otherwise, the fuel saving rate and engine operations will be affected.

(3) After any repair or maintenance services, you should check and make sure that your ELC Fuel Saver is in good condition and the red indicators flash intermittently.
                                                                                                                                                                   (4) The fuel saver works 24 hours a day automatically. There is no need for any daily maintenance.

(5) If the vehicle will be idled for 30-40 days, please disconnect the power connection
(i.e. the red and black wires) from the car battery:
In case the power connection is still on for the above-mentioned period, then the battery voltage may drop to 9V and the fuel saver will stop functioning (self-locked).
Then before starting the engine, you should:
-check and recharge the car battery
- release he self-lock function of your ELC Fuel Saver by tripping the ends of the red and black wires for 10-15 seconds as mentioned earlier
- reconnect the red and black wires to the car battery for power connection
- check that all indicators are flashing intermittently.
                                                                                                                                                                   (6) The fuel saver is sealed and 100% waterproof and should not be dismantled
